I'm excited to be a part of Utah Book Month. I'm especially excited because I get to spotlight Author Heather Ostler.
Heather lives in Utah with her husband and their two pugs. She is not only an talented author, she's also a fun person (one who enjoys lucky pennies and The Parent Trap) whose imagination is as big as the sky.
She is the author of The Siren's Secret and The Shapeshifter's Secret. Both books are published by Cedar Fort and are available at Cedarfort.com and Amazon.com.
One thing Heather admits on her blog is that she is sometimes afraid to dream big. In fact, most of her family and friends didn't know she was writing a novel until it was about to be published! For someone who is afraid to dream big, she's sure done some big things. :-)
All writers are also readers. Many started reading when they were four and never stopped; others didn't soak up books until college. Heather got into reading when she entered junior high. It was then that everything clicked into place and she started making characters, poems, and stories of her own.
Heather writes paranormal young adult. The third book in the series should be out next year.
Lovely spotlight! I love the story about keeping her novel secret. That's something I would do. :)
